"Community minded Chamber Orchestra" ~ Cllr Debbie Brock, Deputy Mayor MK

The Principal players of Sinfonia Ariella are members of Sinfonia Ariella Ensemble and Ariella Strings These vibrant and talented ensembles promote and perform concerts and workshops in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

The new Sinfonia is made up of professional musicians living in Herts, Beds and Bucks who all have professional playing careers in UK and abroad.

The Sinfonia Ariella is a small and flexible ensemble that performs concerts in local churches and other local venues. The musicians also work within schools in the area linking workshops to each concert to try to bring music to our children and youth. Children who take part in our workshops are invited to come along to our rehearsals to watch professional musicians at work.

The orchestra use as many local professional players as possible. There is a wealth of professional talent in and around the three counties and Sinfonia Ariella wants to join these musicians together as one.

Review of Sinfonia Ariella's Inaugural concert - April 2009
"The debut concert of the new UK orchestra Sinfonia Ariella was a fabulous evening. The Church of St Peter's and St Paul's at Newport Pagnell  celebrated this auspicious occasion with wine in the interval and song provided by a choir of childrens voices!

At the helm John Whitfield directed the ensemble with inspiration and energy in response to this unique and fantastic occasion.

The management team were delighted with the turnout and the positive comments of those in the audience.

Even the BBC were involved and have already cast an  eye on the next concert of this debutant orchestra in October. 3CR interviewed the orchestral consultant Ken Chaproniere and gleaned detail about this tremendous achievement of a local orchestral success story now evolving into a UK ensemble with European ambition.

There has already been much interest from as far afield as the States, Austria and France, as great international musicians consider the possibilties of this dynamic band."  Kate Elliott ~ PA Artists Data

Sinfonia Ariella's Vision

We want to showcase local talent, develop new talent and encourage performance opportunities for composers both young and old. In addition to this we want to invite local soloists, established and those yet to be discovered, to have the opportunity to play with us.
In these ways the community are completely involved and will have a sense of “owning the orchestra”.

We are involved in community and educational projects throughout the three counties and also further afield.
